Viv Corringham - At the end of the road

This extract is from a solo performance at Rochester Headphone Festival, Minnesota, on August 4th 2007 and comprises field recordings, voice and electronic processings. The recordings were made during an artist residency in Grand Marais, Minnesota, a border town on Lake Superior. They are part of an ongoing project called Shadow-walks where I visit a place and ask local residents to take me on a walk that is special for them. On the walk I record conversations and characteristic sounds – in this case, ice and snow in April.

Recordings and performance use binaural microphones, so headphones are recommended.
